K 12 Outreach

Our goal for K-12 outreach is to educate engineering students, as well as younger people, in understanding the complexity and interdisciplinary nature of engineered systems and their impacts on society. Pre-college deliverables in the first five years include:

• Become an RET site with 4-8 teachers participating in education and research,
• Develop and deliver 5 K-12 Content Institutes (professional development for teachers) serving 20 teachers each summer,
• Hold annual Educators Conference with DOE.
