UMass CASA

Radar Installation at Fort Worth

The sixth CASA radar was installed at Boat Club Road in the City of Fort Worth. This location will provide a great view of storms approaching the Metroplex. Primary users of the data will include local public safety agencies and the local National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office. The CASA data will also be used by our local partners for severe weather decision making at regional airports and sports arenas, and improved preparation and response to storm related power outages.
